In HÕFF’s focus, the British director Ben Wheatley is without a doubt one of the kingdom’s most talented genre movie makers whose three full length feature films have brought him and the British horror fame and glory all over the word. With his first movie Down Terrace that was shot in only 8 days and received multiple awards Wheatly is known as the savior of British horror movie, and the declarer of New Wave.

His next movie KILL LIST was fresh in its effect. He is mixing black humour with real horror in this feature film. Screened last year at Cannes’ Film festival, SIGHTSEERS, in which a nice vacation turns into a killing trip, Wheatley emphasizes comedy, without giving up even a little of his signature gruesome horror.

Who is interested in that miracle man’s ability to make the audience feel as uncomfortable as possible should definitely see the antology movie THE ABC OF DEATH, where he is fantasizing with the letter U that will be screened at HÕFF.
